DISCOVER OUR STORY

The story of Casa Nuova is the story of Antonio and Maria. Antonio’s journey begins in Cuba leaving days before the blockade and ultimately landing in Little Italy in NYC. Antonio quickly rose through the apprentice system becoming a master baker and chef. Maria’s family immigrated from Cuba to Chicago in 1966 opening their own family restaurant. Fate brought the two together in Atlanta on a blind date. Learn more about their story, family and the origins of Casa Nuova…

The Fundora Family Farm

TRUE FARM TO TABLE

“Farm-to-table” at its heart, means that the food on the table came directly from a specific farm, without going through a store, market, or distributor along the way. At Casa Nuova the food you’re enjoying, comes from the Fundora family farm, just steps away from your table. We are committed to cultivating and sourcing the best possible ingredients.

Reset Robotics Fundraiser

Casa Nuova Italian Restaurant

We are very excited to help the Reset Robotics team! These are local, brilliant minds that are the future generation. We will be open for lunch and dinner to have a percentage of our proceeds go towards the team to help them in every way possible. Come by and have a quick bite or purchase gift cards! Below is a quick bio about the team:

Reset Robotics is the first fully independent FRC (First Robotics Competition) team in the State of GA! This team was formed by a passionate group of local high school students that did not have access to FIRST robotics teams at their local schools (Milton, Cambridge and Alpharetta) Together with some kids from other schools and home schoolers, these 11 kids and their 18 year old Mentor, set off to do what seemed impossible: they formed a 503c, successfully fundraised to cover their $15K season start, promoted themselves online, through social channels, created promotional materials, a pit/booth, built an impressive robot (in 6 weeks) that has now earned them 3 top awards in their 2 qualifying competitions , guaranteeing them a slot in the State Championships (April 5-9, Stegman Coliseum in Athens, GA) and potential slot in World Championships (Houston, Tx in mid-April. These inspirational kids have achieved unimaginable success due to their determination, perseverance and skill set, and are competing extremely well against heavily funded teams literally 4-5 times their size.

The entry fees alone into the upcoming FIRST championships will cost this team $8,000 so they need the help of the North Fulton Communities to reach their dreams!

Information can be found at www.ResetRobotics.org. Reset Robotics is a 503c organization and they would prefer check or PayPal donations as gofundme funds would not become available in time to help the team reach the championships.

Below is a bio on Rob Mondavi Jr:

A fourth-generation Napa Valley winemaker, Rob Mondavi, Jr.’s enthusiasm for wine began more than 30 years ago. The son of Isabel and Michael Mondavi, Rob was raised in Napa Valley and spent much of his childhood playing among the vines and barrels at Robert Mondavi Winery. Growing up, Rob worked in a variety of roles at the family winery, from vineyards to cellar to hospitality.
An entrepreneur from a young age, he started his own business hosting mountain bike tours through the Napa Valley wine country and after graduating from college, Rob worked in sales with Southern Wine & Spirits, a major distributor of fine wines.
Fueled by a desire to learn more about the international business culture, he moved to Panama in 1995. Returning one year later, he established the Napa Cigar Company, a Napa-based importer of premium cigars from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and the Canary Islands. Rob then left his cigar business in 2000 to join the Robert Mondavi Corporation. After one year as a Luxury Brands Sales Manager, he was promoted to Sales Director in 2001 with responsibility for developing and managing sales of the company's imported wines from Australia, Chile and Italy in more than 20 states of the US. After three years in sales, Rob moved home to the Napa Valley and took on the role of Director of Marketing, spearheading the Corporation’s trade marketing programs.
In 1999 Rob, his father Michael, mother Isabel, and sister Dina, collectively purchased a plot of rugged Manzanita lined land high on Atlas Peak and began establishing a vineyard, thereby founding Michael Mondavi Family Estate. In 2004 Rob was appointed President of Winemaking for MMFE, a role that has enabled him to return to his first passion of growing grapes and making wine under the Isabel Mondavi, Emblem, Animo, and “M” by Michael Mondavi labels.
Rob holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature from Santa Clara University and is a current Board Member of Napa Valley Vintners and Winegrowers of Napa County. An avid duck hunter and fly fishing enthusiast, Rob resides in the Napa Valley with his wife, Lydia, and their young son Robert Michael III.
